Agni's Master Sri Sai Kaleshwar

Vita

"During my own “healing”, I delved deeply into the true essence of soul healing, gradually beginning to sense the magnitude and significance of true love." Newly learned and old elements were fused, becoming the new essence of her paintings, which were soon pervaded with Indian mythology and holy symbols. Aghni takes yantras from the century-old palm leaf manuscripts made available by Sri Sai Kaleshwar to his students – and thus to the world – at times placing an unmodified yantra within a surrounding of her own creation and inspiration. She writes mantras and bijas in Telugu or Sanskrit.
Yantra also means “instrument” or “vehicle”. In combination with a mantra or Vedic prayer, healing energy can be consciously channelled, amplified and transferred. The most powerful essence of a mantra is the seed or power syllable, known as bija or bijakshara. They include such sounds as “ka”, “ma” or “va”, which are found in the powerful prayers of all nations.
Many of Aghni’s works were created in Penukonda, the power place and holy site where her master Sri Sai Kaleshwar lived and is now buried. By marrying the luminosity of color with the mythic motifs of palm leaf manuscripts, her paintings become power objects.

"“The viewer is invited to linger and become convinced – the eyes are the gateways to the soul.”" Sri Sai Kaleshwar
